Design Registration: Navigating the Partner Portal

Intel Partner Portal Home Page

The Partner Portal Home page for Design Registration consists of:

  1. Navigation tabs/links to Home, Design Registrations, Opportunity, Reports, and Bulk Upload.
  2. Dashboards for user-based Opportunities and Design Registrations. The Dashboards are available on the Design-Opportunity (showing in screenshot) and Design Registration tabs.
  3. Links to Design Registration training, products, bulk upload documents, tools and support.
  4. Intel support information & links.

Design Registration Tab

From the Design Registration tab, you can review your Design Registrations.

The default list view when logging in is the Recently Viewed list. NOTE: When logging in for the first time, this list will be empty.

  1. The My Designs list (default list) displays your recent Design Registrations and provides the Design Registration number and name, customer details, status, Opportunity name (if applicable), owner name, and last modified date.
  2. To select a different list view, click the List View drop down menu.
  3. To pin a list view (replacing the list that shows by default), click the pin icon next to the List View drop down menu.
  4. Sort by column by clicking a column name.
  5. Use the Search this list box to locate a Design Registration within the displayed list.
  6. Use the list controls buttons to create a new list view, change the list display (table or kanban view), refresh a list view, view list charts (if applicable), or add filters to a list (only applicable to list views that you have created or cloned). NOTE: You can also clone a pre-existing list view, then apply filters to customize the list to your specifications. Your filtered list can then be saved as a new list view, if desired. Lists that you clone or create as a new list will ONLY be visible to you.
  7. To open a Design Registration, click the link in the Registration Number column.

From the Design Registration tab, you can create and clone Design Registrations.

Design Registration List Views

The different list views available to you on the Design Registration tab allow you to only view Design Registrations that meet specific requirements. In addition to the Approved and Rejected lists, note the following:

  • All Designs – Pending Review: Lists ALL Design Registrations that have a status of "Submitted", "Precheck Complete", "Design Accepted for Approval" or "Re-Submitted".
  • My Designs – Pending Review: Lists your Design Registrations that have a status of "Submitted", "Precheck Complete", "Design Accepted for Approval" or "Re-Submitted".

Opportunity Tab

You can use the Opportunity tab to review all of your Opportunities.

The default list view on the Opportunity tab is the All Opportunities list which lists all Opportunities that have been created from your approved Design Registrations. NOTE: When logging in for the first time, this list will be empty.

  1. The All Opportunities list (default list) displays the account name for an Opportunity, Opportunity ID and name, type, stage, decision date, approval status, product segment, Opportunity owner, technical owner, design registration (and link), created and last modified dates.
  2. To select a different list view, click the List View drop down menu.
  3. To pin a list view (replacing the list that shows by default), click the pin icon next to the List View drop down menu.
  4. Sort by column by clicking a column name.
  5. Use the Search this list box to locate an Opportunity within the displayed list.
  6. Use the list controls buttons to create a new list view, change the list display (table or kanban view), refresh a list view, view list charts (if applicable), or add filters to a list (only applicable to list views that you have created). NOTE: You can also clone a pre-existing list view, then apply filters in order to customize to your specifications. Lists that you clone or create as a new list will ONLY be visible to you.
  7. To open an Opportunity, click the Opportunity name in the Opportunity Name column. To access the Design Registration that the Opportunity originated from, click the link in the Registration Number column.

NOTE: Opportunities that have been created outside of the Partner Portal will not be visible in the Opportunities tab.

Opportunity List Views

The different list views available to you on the Opportunities tab allow you to only view Opportunities that meet specific requirements. In addition to the My Team Opportunities and Recently Viewed lists, note the following:

  • Opportunities Requiring Your Action: Lists Opportunities that are past due (decision date > 30 days in the past) or whose decision date has been pushed more than 3 times or with no products assigned.
  • My Open Opportunities (FAE): Lists Opportunities where you are a team member. NOTE: As the creator of a Design Opportunity, Partners are assigned as “owner” by default. Once a Design Registration is approved and converted to an Opportunity, Partners are re-designated as “technical owner”.

Reports Tab

The Reports tab is where you can find pre-established reports specific to Design Registration information.

Bulk Upload Tab

The Bulk Upload tab allows you to create/import your new Registrations all at once. You may also make edits to existing Design Registrations created through the portal using this same process. Design Registrations that have been uploaded can be viewed by clicking the Open List View button located on the Bulk Upload tab.
