Summary

Troubleshooting the "Intel SCS - A valid PKI Certificate was not found" error, which displays when you attempt to configure a system remotely.

Description

When you try to do remote configuration with Intel® Setup and Configuration Software (Intel® SCS), you followed these instructions to add GoDaddy vPro Provisioning Certificate to the RCS Server.

When you attempt to configure a system remotely, you get this error: "A valid PKI Certificate was not found in the Certificate Store of the user running the Remote Configuration Service." You also tried to validate the certificate with the RCSUtils.exe /Certificate Validate %CERTIFICATE THUMBPRINT% /RCSUser %USER% %PASSWORD% /Log File ValidateCert.log command, and it comes back saying "The certificate is not valid for Intel RCS Mutual TLS connection and is not valid for Intel RCS Remote PKI Connection."

You have the latest Intel SCS software installed, and my GoDaddy certificate is valid until July 31, 2019.

Resolution

Intel® AMT OID: 2.16.840.1.113741.1.2.3 is missing.
