Description

You can connect two Transceiver Toolkit System Consoles to two Altera® devices with two USB ports on the same computer, when each device is programmed with the same FPGA image by manually linking the devices.

System Console and the Transceiver Toolkit use the System ID, JTAG ID, and Device ID to identify devices. The System Console Autolink feature will be unable to distinguish between two identical systems so manual linking must be used.

To do this you should perform the following steps after first allowing the System Console Autolink feature to run.

  1. Open the first System Console panel.
  2. Unlink the device on USB-1 in first System Console.
  3. Open the second System Console panel.
  4. Unlink the device on USB-0 in second System Console.
