Does the UFM (User Flash Memory) block in MAX® II devices have a security bit?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description No. The UFM is always readable through the JTAG interface independent of the MAX II security bit setting. Most non-volatile storage devices, such as serial EEPROMs, do not have read protection but instead have write protection. This is possible with the UFM block if you use the serial peripheral interface (SPI) option. The SPI interface will allow for opcodes to enable write protection, JTAG, however, can still overwrite the contents.
